Welcome to an exhibition where young Roma contribute their perspectives on culture and history, prejudices and dreams of the future.

Roma have lived in Sweden since the 16th century and faced many challenges, both here and in the rest of Europe.

In spite of resistance and discrimination from the majority society, Roma have for generations stood up for their values and their rights.

By spreading their stories, The Living History Forum wants to raise awareness of Roma culture and everyday life for young people who belong to one of Sweden’s national minorities.
